Apartments Roháčik – Zuberec are an ideal place for families with children who want to spend their time actively in the beautiful nature of Roháčy and Orava. The surroundings offer a variety of experiences for young and old, from water adventures to rope parks and caves.
Rafting
Set sail on a raft along the Orava River in the section Nižná – Podbiel or Horná Lehota – Oravský Podzámok. The route is suitable for families and you can combine it with a visit to Orava Castle.
Ropes course
Rope obstacles are placed in the treetops at a height of 3-7 m, the total length of the course is 466 m. For less daring people, there is a shortened route. The route is intended for people over 150 cm or shorter, accompanied by two adults.
Tank
In Podbiel (12 km from Zuberec), children can enjoy riding a real armored personnel carrier tank BVP. The tank track is 3 km long and leads through rugged terrain, which guarantees fun and adrenaline for little adventurers.
Orava Forest Railway
Explore the unique narrow gauge railway – one of the few remaining dead-end railways in the world. The railway is a technical monument and a great attraction for children and adults alike. You can find the timetable here.
Educational path
A walk along the Zverovka Nature Trail is ideal for families with small children. The easy 2,200 m long circuit without major elevation changes can be completed even by 3-year-olds and offers beautiful views of the surrounding Roháče.
Sightseeing boat cruise on the Orava Dam
Combine a boat trip on the Orava Dam with a visit to the Slanický Island of Art, where there are permanent exhibitions of traditional folk art from the collections of the Orava Gallery. For children, the trip can be supplemented with a visit to Kinderland in Námestovo, only 7 km from the port.
